Presenters:Kelly J. Veal, PhD, LPC, CAADC, NCC, CPCS and Dixie Powers, PhD, LPC, NCC. Kelly J. Veal, PhD, LPC, is the Clinical Coordinator for the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at LaGrange College, and the proud owner of The Veal Group, LLC, a private practice that specializes in EMDR therapy. Dr. Veal has extensive experience working with trauma, dissociation, and substance abuse in all age groups.  Dr. Dixie Powers graduated from Auburn University with a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision in August 2017. She has been working clinically in community mental health for the last 5 years and now co-owns a private practice in Columbus, GA called The Wandering Mind. Prior to coming to LaGrange, Dr. Powers worked part time as an Adjunct Professor for Auburn University for 2 years. Dr. Powers practices from a CBT lens and has a passion for crisis work.
