Methods And Models Of Supervision

This course is designed for LPCs interested in applying for the certification as a Clinical Supervisor. The course will provide information regarding how your role as supervisor changes, depending on the stage of development your supervisee is in. It also describes the 5 specific steps to help your supervisee work through countertransference issues. There will be demonstrations of the different models of supervision to help find the right fit for you, and discussion of how attachments styles can affect the supervision relationship and the way your supervisee deals with feedback.

Dr. Markwell has been the mental health consultant for “Fetch You News”, the on-line news show serving North Georgia; a periodic guest on the Atlanta morning radio show, “Bailey and Southside” (Rock 100.5); and was awarded the 2017 George C. Podein Counselor of the Year by the LPCA of Georgia. He served on the LPCAGA’s CPCS Committee working on standards based on the licensing boards policies.
