Presenter: Dawn Allred, LPC, MAC. Dawn Allred, LPC, MAC has worked in community mental health, specializing in addiction/recovery treatment as well as co-occurring mental illness. She has 30 years of experience with complex issues such as severe and persistent mental illness, homelessness, poverty, legal issues, and chronic health problems. Furthermore, Dawn is a behavioral health program surveyor for CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). Over her professional career, Dawn has served as a board member for several community nonprofit organizations and she was the Ethics Chairperson for the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Certification Board of Georgia for 2 years.

  • Participants will name 3 types of crisis clients can experience
  • Learn 2 techniques to accurately assess risk factors
  • Learn how to utilize protective factors when developing a treatment plan
